In ML, there is also something which is very weird, I do not know if this is a bug or if I am missing something. Each & every time when you search, it shows 1-10 of 200. Why 200 mark comes in picture? I think the record may be more than that which I have observed. If you are going to any specific area like EAI etc. it will show like 1-10 of 200 which icludes Bug,Technote,HowTo etc, Problem etc. & then you click on the Problem again 1-10 of 200.

A useful tip for finding a FAQ/Alert/TechNote in Metalink 3 is to search for

"previously 1162"

This leads to the answer to 1) which is Doc Id 478242.1

HTH

Yeah, performance seems to be getting worse and worse.

Search functionality I think is mixed - pros and cons. The Google-style "Did you mean..." function is good, and personally I like the way you can now drilldown to bugs, docs etc after running the search. Personal taste, though.

Performance! Metalink runs like a one-legged dog! I also find that the search functionality isn't as powerful or intuitive (but perhaps that is simply down to me griping about change... ;-) )
